Oh yeah shes tired...
Trying to give my 2000 f-150 some perk. The 5.4 is old, tired, and needs something. I've learned that it doesnt have much options, but there are several perking my interest. Other stock heads (DOHC- From navigator, or the three valve from later f-150s), obviously gt-500 swap (impractical due to cost), V-10 swap (enough room?), blower (not many kits out there for 00), stroking (heard isnt much room to do this), just throw in some cams (would require tuning), switching to carb (am I crazy yet?). I love the truck but hate the engine.

For little money and a little extra pep, throw on an electric fan and a tuner. It sure helps in both performance and gas mileage. Long tube headers and a dual exhaust would be nice and not nearly as expensive or invasive either.
