Plowing snow

We got afew inches, just enough to plow it out where those winds piled it up in my yard. By late this afternoon the highways were quite bare in most spots from the plows and salt.
Seems that places south of Saskatoon like Yorkton got more snow. What did the rest of you get?

We got hammered. Probably 6" on the level, but drifts to 2' in places. Not a tow truck or bobcat to be found...

We were hit hard too with the snow. I measured 10 inches of snow on the roof of my mustang. Don't have the plow on the tractor either. What a mess.

We just had rain, wind & sun in that order. Are there any crops left in the fields out your way?

We didn't have much snow here, maybe an inch. The only place there are drifts are between buildings. As for crops nothing much left around here. just the odd quarter here and there that someone seeded to canola in early july.

All we got was rain and wind. 30 miles west of me, there was snow, but not here.

Yep had the pleasure to be driving around those days. But when its slushy in the afternoon then freezes at night, it plays havic with my United Rentals trailer. had a couple frozen wheel brakes and then the whole sliding undercarrige freezes. usually takes my 45-hour to get going in morning

How wide, how does it compare to a snow bucket in what it can/cant do?

It`s 9ft wide and much faster plowing out roads than the snow bucket I had. The snow bucket was great for loading snow into gravel trucks, only 4-5 buckets to load but for road work this blade is the quickest by far. Wish I`d bought one years ago!

We rented a track machine to touch up a few jobs where things got left too rough due to mud - met our expectations until one track came off!!!

Must have been real rough going!
I would think that your S300 with steel tracks could do a job better than a rubber track machine, depending on conditions.

We never traded our 873 on that S300 (yet!). Do you think the new platform will obsolete the old style?
What we need is lots of floatation - working around new basements, septic and water installs, etc. I think in normal conditions all would be good. This year was bad with the moisture, and I think we will be dealing with the same conditions in the next little bit!
