Any one else notice the vacuum hose going inside the cab? I just noticed that. Do you have vacuum wiper motor? Electric wiper motor became standard in all 1952 trucks, whether standard or 5 Star Extra Cab. In 51, electric wiper motors were only available as an option on standard trucks and came standard on 5 Star Extra Cab trucks.

Careful there with the broad statements, Ilya. Perhaps for US production, but my 52 Mercury, a product of Canada,
has vacuum wipers still. And, it's the deluxe cab version, too!
PS, Mercury didn't call them 5 star or extra cab. It was just standard and deluxe.

However, he clearly has a Ford F1.

Indeed. But they did make Fords in Canada, too, not that I'm suggesting his truck is Canadian. It's doubtful it would be that far south, in Mississippi. But a '52 with vacuum wipers is a strange observation. Any possibility the electric wiper standardization was a running change part way through the model year? Or perhaps not all the plants got the memo at the same time?

I beg to differ.
On US Ford Economy Built Trucks, electric windshied wipers were still an optional extra accessory in 1952 and were advertised as being offered only on the trucks with IL6 engines. Supposedly the V8s had the optional "combination fuel and vacuum booster pump" type augment to the regular vacuum wipers. Dual windshield wipers were standard on the 51s and 52s.
But I'm sure we are all in agreement that there were many exceptions, as the dealers were more than willing to sell and install optional equipment across advertised lines - both models and years.
Here's the optional equipment section from the US 52 Ford F-series Sales Brochure - Just FYI.
WRT your wiper being weak, the vacuum wipers were known for this (by modern standards) especially if youwere hauling a load or driving up a hill (throttle open). There are rebuild kits for the vacuum wiper motors and new vacuum wiper motors available.

But if you are in a location where you need the wipers alot, I'd recommend you replace the vacuum wipers with electric. I installed a Newport Engineering conversion with a delay wiper switch and I am VERY happy with it.
