08 rear end queston

08 rear end queston
does anyone know if a rear end out of a 01-04 swap parts with a 08. a buddy of mine snapped the rear axle shaft and is looking to buy another one. just wondering if we can pull one off a used truck.

The wheel mounting surface dimentions are different. Also the spline count is different. The 99-04 had the same axle. 05+ is the newer style.

so a rear axle shaft from the 05 and up will work?

one more question do you know if anyone has a upgraded axle shaft. if he broke this one he will break another one

Check with randy's ring and pinion. That would be my best guess on a place that would know or do a search. What is he doing to break the shafts?

sand drags, drag racing, truck pulls, i guess hes seeing how much factory equipment will hold up to. lol

yea lots of torque he has custom tuning from spartan and runs the 350 tune, with 40s
