turbo problems

turbo problems

i have a 2001 7.3 with chip intake exhaust and it has 180000 miles on it im noticing fresh oil on top of the turbo? what could that be? has anyone else had this problem? what can fix this? please offer any advice or suggestions thanks

On top of the turbo? Sounds like an oil leak somewhere. Sounds strange though.

its on top of the turbo fresh oil and covering the pipes that come off the turbo

Not sure what is on top of the turbo that has oil. Only thing I can think of is the oil blew back from the valley which might have come from the pedestal or EBPV. There is no way to guess AFAIK. I would take engine degreaser and clean the entire thing out till you can eat off it. Put some dye in the oil and see where it lands from the black light.
