New guy looking for the thick and wet brown stuff... MUD!!!!!

I live in south eastern PA near Philly. My 150 is almost stock with a few up grades to make it a little better while not on the pavement. (31in tires, manual hubs, thicker trans and oil pans. 3.55 gears.) Please don't get me wrong I don't think that I can hang with most of the rigs I see on this page but I'm a new owner with 2 kids.

I'm looking for some trails within a 1 hour drive that isn't too extreme. Maybe something that can be tackled alone or with one other truck (Cherokee). Nothing too deep. The place that I used to go to was behind the Philly airport but over the summer that has turned in to a construction dump, nails and tires don't mix.

Any one local that might no of such a place. I have been to the pine barons a few times but that's a hike and with a 351 and blocky tread I can watch my gas gauge move.

Thanks and for fun post any pictures of muddy trucks. It's the only thing that keeps me from falling asleep here at work. LOL

Somehow I knew there would be a joke hurled in my direction when I saw the title of this thread

I think there's something called mud in the pines or wheeling in the pines or something like that a little north of you in NJ that's supposed to be a pretty good event. Other than that, looking for the local mud bogs is your best bet. The Buck, if not too far for you, is a pretty cool place. They have different kinds of events every weekend, including mud bogs. The tech inspection is VERY stringent from what I've been told though, so if you decide to go read the rule book and follow it to a T. I think they're done for this season though, as far as events. Even if you aren't running, it's a great place to spectate. Demolition derbies, mud bogs, monster trucks sometimes, tractor pulls, diesel truck pulls, all kinds of stuff!

Actually read your post and saw you were looking for trails. Try Rausch Creek, it shouldn't be TOO far of a hike for you and it's a hell of a lot of fun there! Ask alpha/omega about the jeep and a tree.

Quick thinking stopped us without the use of brakes. The way I see it Paul still owes me for saving his life.

i havent posted in a while but im from the same area. havent been here, but theres an entrance into the woods right behind carlson's alignment shop on business route 1 in penndel.

Carlson's Alignment & Repair, langhorne, PA - Google Maps

theres also a place in feasterville, but its patrolled pretty hard by cops. would have loved to gotten back there cause it looks sick, but oh well:

YouTube - Wheeling in Feasterville, PA

im pretty much selling my truck because i built it for mud, and theres no where to take it locally, unless i get trailered. driving 2 hours on 42's and 5.13 gears effing sucks.
