Hey all,
I have an 08 F350 SD CC diesel. I just turned 32K miles and the pads on the RF wheel are down to rivets while the driver's side is little more then 1/2 worn.
Has anyone else experienced this, and if so how did the dealer accept this as a warranty item? Or better yet is there an official TSB on this problem? I took a quick look at the links above and didn't see anything related.
I have a 2008 F-250 4X4 Supercab V-10 with 74,000 miles and still have more than 1/2 on the front pads. I do know that when I replace them I am going to Rotorpros both pads and rotors, drilled and slotted. I had them on my 2002 and they are 1/2 the cost of most others and last as long if not longer.
You probably have either a stuck caliper slide pin, or a stuck caliper cylinder on the right side causing excessive wear. You need to have the caliper checked out and repaired. I don't know if this would be a warranty issue or not. Pads and rotors are usually wear items, but the caliper should fall under the 3 yr/36k, if you're not over that.
