This is all part of growing up dude. Everything serves a purpose and this is how the world stays in balance. Being sober/clean is a drag, but you're setting a good example for your friends and it sounds like they need you.
The last thing this youngster needs is more coddling from people who can appreciate his situation.
I don't want anything less than highly motivated responsible young men and women in MY Coast Guard. Sorry dude, military is out.
Go to school and over time, learn to right your wrongs.
You have got to be kidding! Since when is being "sober/clean" a drag?????
If what you say is true, I spent the last 62 years being miserable because I didn't get high???
I think this is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard!
And with "friends" like that he doesn't need enemies........
Anyone that quits partying feels this way for a while, perfectly normal. If he can stay clean around his friends and set an example I see no need for him to find new ones. This is what friendship is all about, he's just growing up a little faster than they are. You're also entitled to your opinion though.

I'm sorry, but you don't get it. It has NOTHING to do about his drug use ( well, maybe just a little...) But it has EVERYTHING to do with his being a spoiled brat.
"I Hate My Dad" His first four words. Ungreatful little b*****d! Then he complains about having to pay $500/ month "...and even more if it's under my name". His PARENTS are paying. He then goes on to say, "E99 f250 Trail Truck And A 85 Toyota 4runner Buggyed Out Staring at you in the driveway." I wonder who bought those.....
It's all about choices. His parents chose to spoil him, now nothing will ever be "his fault". The cops are out to get me, the courts are out to get me, my friends got me in trouble, it's always somebody elses fault.
I'm very sorry to say I've seen this all to often, and don't even want to think what his future could be.
I hope he can turn his life around, and sincerly hope he can do it........
my parents don't buy me anything.. i bought my trucks.. build them(didn't buy them build..)
my insurance is under my brothers name, but i do pay it..
the felony got dropped down to a misdemeanor at court.. im planning on joining the marines before i turn 20.
my dad moved out, my mom lives somewhere else.. i own my own house, trucks, toys.. i guess i just matured alot more quicker then someone my age. becuase of the responsibility put on me lately
It's hard to discount everything you read on the forums, but how convenient is it that he started a thread a few days ago, ignored it and all of a sudden he's this terrific mechanic who has his own house at 18 with several toys in the driveway. oh and pays his own insurance but still ain't smart enought drive like an adult!
are you kidding me? your joking right? you need help. its dirtbags like you that make MY insurance so much higher, and make ME a target to police. its people like YOU that make people so quick to put down teen drivers.
im a good driver. not a professional race car driver, but significantly better then my peers. why? because my father(truck driver all his life. millions of miles under his belt.) taught me how to drive, and has been teaching me since i was 14 years old. i bought my first truck at 14, it was a 4wd stick shift ford truck. not only did i learn the basics, i leaned stick, learned how to drive in the snow, learned how to deal with driving a 20ft long truck, and leaned how to park that boat. spent hundreds of hours trying to be the best driver i could possibly be. i get this 97, and guess what? i end up paying a ***** ton on insurance. why? because of punks like you. apparently male teens in pickup trucks are irresponsible... who woulda thought? and i could call you out on all your BS posts, like how you know what your day pays for insurance even though you dont talk to him, but ill leave that for the other people here.
im a good driver.. i have not ever gotten one moving violation.. *******.
i didnt have time to be on my computer since i was WORKING...
ask Bill W he was at my house tonight.. (thanks for the tool loan bill)
Well with all this money you are rolling around in why didn't you pay off the "tickets" that you were driving with that caused your license suspension in the first place?
And no moving violations? You must have been doing something to get pulled over so they could check your license to see that it was suspended.

i have no fees at the courts.. and mud-flaps, broken taillight are not moving violations..
