auto project 2 engine upgradeing
hey I will be going into auto class my last time in high school and my college vehicle will be this one so while I have acses to the tools I want to make my engine as best as possible.
i do a lot of high stress driving (on the truck) off roading, heavy hauling and winters absolutly suck hear and my house is heated by wood so it usually means a trip to the woods 1-2 times a month.
hears my truck
1985 f150 regular cab and box, I6 (300/4,9L) 4 spd manual, 2wd.
a little background on what I have already done
new break master cylinder
both front disk break calipers replaced
all break lines replaced
drum break cylinders replaced
new valve cover gasket
new oil pan gasket
5 oil changes and filter changes over 400km to flush all the crap out (until oil stayed gold)
o2 sensor replaced
coolant temp sensor replaced
new fuel filter
all new spark plugs, wires and distributor + rotor
K and N air filter
157000km on it.
what have people done to (high performance)
for lack of a better description there I6?
like forged aluminum pistons, cams, stronger valves and springs, stronger crank, aluminum pulleys exc
what have you all done to make the engine better, stronger, faster?
as for cost of why dont I get a better engine as it will cost a lot- working on my truck is my hobby so all my money goes to it, I also love that truck and it will take me to hell and back again and still be kicking
all imput apreshiated, picks even better as I want to paint my engine and am looking for a color skeams.
