Hey FTE,
I'm rebuilding my carburetor at the moment (for my 1978 400 M/T F250), and when I checked the sheet for the specs of the accelerator pump overtravel lever and it confuses me. This is what the sheet says in the carb kit
78 351" M F100.........49S M/T.........POL: 3.......CHOKE SETTING: INDEX
351" M F150/250...CAL M/T.........POL: 4...............................INDEX
351" M F350.........CAL M/T.........POL: 4...............................2-RICH
400" F150/250......CAL A/T..........POL: 3...............................INDEX
Heres the confusing part: when I pulled the carb, the pump overtravel lever was in the "4" position, and the auto choke was set in the "2 RICH" which is what it says on the valve covers. Should I tune my carb to the 351M F350 settings?
What do you have yours in if you have a '78 400 manual? Is mine different because it was made in Canada?
I searched the forum and didn't find a definitive answer, but if you can find one, please give me the link

Reason: typo
We have the same exact carb. The accelerator pump on mine is dripping fuel onto the intake manifold, debating on whether to do a rebuild, or to repair just the pump. I'm not sure what mine is set on right now, I can go take a look at it tomorrow, but I don't know a lot about carbs.
