I need a new steering column for my 1997 F-250 diesel. I can get one cheap off a 1993 F-150 parts truck. The trucks are both manual transmission. Will everything work and can I put my F-250 steering wheel on the f150 column? Thanks.

I have a 1997 Ford F-250 XLT Diesel and I need to remove and reinstall a steering column. The steering column has Cruse control and tilt. The truck has a automatic transmission. I have been able to remove almost all of the old steering column except there is a clamp on the bottom of the column that holds the linkage. The end of the linkage I was able to remove however, there is a holder that I can't get loose. Please help. Thank you.
