Well I got a couple of quotes on chroming the grille and front bumper 1,800 to 2,000. I have decided to go with a brushed look instead and will be painting a faux finish on the grill and bumper and brushing the stainless around the windshield and BBW. I started on the trim and it looks good IMO. The 3/8 flat stock is going to give me a nice 1/4 inch fender to hood gap. It is just roughed in at this point. I have got my tilt hood kit from Kevin and plan to get it mocked up this week.

That looks sweet! The whole build looks great! I've definitely been thinking about how to fill that gap and this looks like the way i'll be going.

Getting closer to paint. Have it blocked a couple times. Going to flip it over and prep and paint the underside then go over the top side a cople more times before paint.

Man, I like that truck. I'm sick of my hood hinges, sick of the lack of new quality ones. How much was that kit? can you line me up w\ the supplier? Thanks for your time 66 250

I had the same issues with hood hinges. The kit is made by Kevin Stone. He is a member here. I think he has a add for the kit in the for sale section. His kit works excellent and is well worth the price.
