Borg-Warner, What's the difference
Does any one know what the bolt-up differences are between a Chevy BW trans, and a Ford BW trans? Okay here is the story, I bought a Trans at a swap meet, in very good condition, very cheap, and was told it was out of a Mustang... Then later Id the trans to find out it was out of a '85 Camaro/Firebird. Need it for my 5.8L Any help greatly appriciated.

A T-5 wouldn't live long behind a 5.8 anyway. They don't stand up well to modded 5.0HOs.
The GM T-5 has a different input shaft, matching their input splines and pilot, a different output shaft, matching their u-joints and often a different shift lever location.
