8 Lug question
I have a sterling 10.25 and a dana50 8 lug axles and i was wondering is there any way to convert them to the new 8 lug style or a 5 lug? those rims are always cheaper and lot easier to find and i got a line on a set of beadlocks that are 5 lug but it wont be worth it if its super expensive to convert the axles.

your hub is WAY too big for the pilot on 5 bolt rims.
yes you can convert to newer pattern, but why. chevy still uses 8 on 6.5 (165mm) and everyone knows the aftermarket is chevy biased. there should be tons of choices for you. There should be no difference in price between the newer ford and older ford rims when ordering new.

the rear center cap is a differnt story. American racing makes deep center to fit most wheels
And you dont want to got to 15" wheels and tires. they re not rated heavy enough for a 3/4 ton pick up

Read the OP first question
NOTHING was mentioned about STOCK, ALSO where in the hell would you find stock bead locks?
his 3rd post mentioned stock including 16.5. youre still wrong, a die grinder still makes any of them fit the hub, but the old 3/4 tons only have a 1/2 stud, so do they fit our 9/16 studs?

now if cost is as concern there are lots of the 91 and up F250's running factory aluminum modular rims, I have a set in my back yard. You should be able to find them cheap these days.
Dont buy 16.5's, even if they look good and are cheap. You'll kick yourself when it comes time to buy tires.
A lot of rims are also dual drilled, so you may find some that have the newer super duty pattern as well as the old 8 on 6.5 but the fad is now to list them in a metric size, 165 mm.

You do not want all the load the truck can and could carry riding on the wheel studs.
The center hub takes the load, the studs retain the wheel.
