i recently purchased an 02' Ex PSD 4x4 Limited. I have been taking it off road quite a bit getting the truck muddy using the 4wd and all that stuff. Is there stuff i need to lube up or grease up after doing a off roading and a pressure wash?
No, not really anything in particular. You might want to check the diff oils, and transfer case, just to make sure there was no water intrusion. But it is not very likely that there is any. Being a new to you vehicle you might want to check out all the fluids any how and replace with new, just so you have a new starting point. I would look at the caliper pins front and back and make sure they are not binding. They are known to bind and cause braking problems. Might also want to lube up the 4x4 hubs.
I do a few water crossings every summer to get to a fishing hole, so I check the caliper pins and do a check up on things twice a year. About the time I change from summer to winter tires and vice versa.
Here is guzzles link for all the maint stuff. Welcome to guzzle's Ford PSD Web Pages
If you have greasables. I'm still running stock ones, I believe as I haven't changed them yet and they look stock.
There are a few points on the steering links, two on each side that I grease with every oil change, but not every time off road.
Just think of it as a heavy rain. You never go out and grease everything after a heavy rain fall. Up here on the north coast we get tonnes of rain in the 98" per year average amount and no extra maint because of it. Just can't keep a clean vehicle for long is all.
