Wait a minute, if it went from the cold full line to the bottom hose over night without being run there should be a big puddle under the truck, right. It can't leak internally when not running can it?
I wouldnt think so. Its hard to tell in my gravel driveway its been snowy, muddy and wet. But theres clearly a leak on that big hose underneath, just cant tell where its leaking from cause it gets dryer the higher up but that could just be gravity doing its thing....
IM gonna try and google some pics of the tubing on this motor.
In this PDF, on pg.2 and pg.3. The outlet on waterpump on the diagram- the big one between the thumb and index finger- that house routes to lower rad on pass. side. That is the culprit hose. So hopefully nothing serious, maybe just a new hose...wait and see what they say.
My upper hose leaked at the thermostat housing. If I drove it long enough to get the truck hot it never made a spot due to the coolant evaporating before it hit the ground. But if I drove it for 10 minutes or less it would make a spot...
New upper hose fixed it. Mechanic pressure tested it to find it.
Mine had the old, problem prone hose too. The newer one that have 2 o-rings also have different color hose ends on them.
They finished truck today, picked it up after work.
Was the lower hose, an o-ring in the quick (dis)connect fittings.
They also had to replace the alternator, I guess the battery light came on when he moved truck from parking lot to the service lot.
