What is the molded rubber line that runs near the brake booster to the Drivers side of the throttle body housing, along the fire wall? It is marked gas (factory markings), but it appears to be vacuum line. Approxamatly 3/8” id line.
Does it have a particular part number and or name??
Was going to clean the EGR ports on the throttle body housing but when I grabbed this hose it started to crumble . so I held off until I can get this replaced

Reason: more info
My guess is that is the vacuum line for the brake booster----must have been replaced at some point already. Since the existing hose was rated for gasoline it would be fine for vacuum as well.
Naturally its best to replace any rubber line showing wear or deterioration with at least a gasoline rated material. Considering fuel fumes could be persent its just a safe bet. OTOH I think in the automotive market generally speaking all hose would be suitable for use nearly everywhere except higher pressures naturally.

thanks for the reply
It is not the brake booster hose...that i know for sure.
I have come to understand from another forum, that is EvaporitiveEmissionsReturnTube
EVAP hose for short.
Dealership part - Must be fuel, vapor, emissions grade, pre-bent/formed tube.
the problem is that there are about a dozen or so hoses/ line listed under that title from Ford....and apprently I'll have to take the parts dude by the hand , open the hood and point to it. to be sure that I get the right one

Ahhh well thanks for that then---I'm still learning a bit about these "newer" vehicles and all their vastly different workings---too long rooted in the 60's when autos were easy to work on!
Yeah the dealers can be a bit frustrating when talking on the phone--sometimes those visits are the only way especially something like this.
Best of luck---hope its just that simple a repair!
