Here's my suggestion install a fuel sump, any fuel pump system you choose (I recommend the AirDog), install the new fuel pressure spring and a fuel gauge. I like this idea a lot. I don't want to be a wuss about installing the RR, but I know it is a PITA (and I can't see bringing the truck to a shop when it isn't broken).
