Airbag indicator (2 + 9)
Any ideas what this code is and how to fix it?
Thanks.
The restraint control module (RCM) monitors the electrical condition at C2005 pins 10, 13 and 14 to determine if it is installed on the correct vehicle. Each vehicle configuration (Expedition with and without side air bags and Navigator with side air bags) will have a unique vehicle ID. See the tables below. If the RCM detects other than the expected programmed condition on any of these pins, it will store diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1414 in memory and flash a lamp fault code (LFC) 29 (or higher priority code if one exists) on the air bag indicator.
Have you recently had any work done on the air bag system?
There is a whole series of pinpoint tests for this code. Essentially if the wiring is ok you end up replacing the Restraint Control Module.
Thanks for you response, and yes I recently changed the AB system because a bump I had
that deployed the airbags and the seat belt pretensioners..... but every thing is new, from the dealer, in fact I had to give them the VIN to get the parts....but you are right, I know that are modules that monitor side
AB and modules that does not.... in my case I don't have side
bags....
Exists the possibility the dealer gave me the wrong module..?
I just installed directly from the box and did not check the part#...
Oh men..!!!!! is a pain get to the module just to check it...
Is there something else in your manual..?
Thanks
LFC 19.......
But in order to compare the the part # on the new one I have to remove the central console because the module is behind it by the accelerator (task for the weekend).... If it results to be the same part#, maybe I have to take it to the dealer (as you said) to be programmed...... (aaggghh!! they will want to charge as if it was a world task just for plug the scanner and push 2 or 3 buttons)...

Thanks
