Motorcraft 4300
I have a Motorcraft 4300 and the tag on it say D4VE AB. I went to NAPA and got a rebuild kit for it since I didn't have any trouble with the kit for the 2150 that is on my truck now. Of course one of the tiny ***** fell out and I can't seem to find on the diagram where to put the new one from the rebuild kit. I have placed the larger ball in the pump intake, but I can't for the life of me find where the smaller one goes. Could anyone please show me a diagram from a shop manual illustrating where this goes? I have a shop manual for my 77' but this engine and carb are out of a 74'. I appreciate the help.

This is a much clearer picture than the one I had, but I still can't see where the smaller ball goes. Can someone with better eyes, experience point it out to me? Jeez I feel stupid.

Don't feel BAD I DID THE SAME THING BUT FIGURED IT OUT THE BALL GOES NEXT TO THE NEEDLE, PUMP DISCHARGE THERE IS A SMALL RECESS FOR IT TO SET IN. I PULLED OUT A SPRING AND CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHERE IT GOES ANY SUGGESTIONS
