Did you drive it or winch it in there?

I later parked the Taurus next to it, and am now running through various configurations to store all my stuff in a better fashion; I'm tired of the bare-minimum, purely-functional approach I've always taken in the past....

I'm going to find a rubber gasket to place under that wing nut. No more of that crap!

On the plus side it started right up like nothing ever happened

Matthew, You really should replace the cowl seal and then the water just goes off to the sides.

Gary has lots of pictures.
I would use urethane sealant instead of roofing tar (Blackjack) like he did, but either should work.

I replaced it about a year ago with the garage door seal stuff. I must say I'm not very impressed with it. It's gotten to the point where it's more of a 90 degree seal after the hood has been closed on it for a while and doesn't seem to seal that well anymore. Although, I've never seen more than a few drips of water here and there, not 2 gallons of rain water down my engine. And since I did the tarp thing the night before, it pretty much had to have been that.

Hmmm
Is it still tightly stuck to the cowl?

I wonder what's up with that?
We had huge rains yesterday.
Maybe the next time I will open my hood before starting my day.

I do have a neoprene washer under my air cleaner wingnut.

It was stuck to the cowl pretty decently, I had to take it off when I took the cowl off, and the only thing I had to use was grey silicone. Not the best for that but it seems to work alright. I put a decent film along the bottom edge of the cowl.

When it rained, I've never seen rain drops so big in my life. Also, tons of lightning. It woke me up at 4 AM and a few times I heard thunder nonstop for about 30 seconds.

It looks like there may be room for some shelving against the bare wall, but hard to tell how much with the door of your truck open.

Didn't do much to my trucks. Just adjusted and lubed the tailgate strikers on Big Blue. At least now I can open and close the 'gate easily.

I put a Hopkins torsion bar in my tailgate back in November.
It's *much* easier to close now (but a pita to remove)

That's because you're still a child, Matthew.

Hmm, I do live on the rainy side of the Evergreen state. I've seen rain before.

It rained nearly every day in March. About drove me crazy trying to get anything done outside.
