Thanks for being there, man. Sure do appreciate you and the others.

Yesterday, I started on some of the body work, sanding, priming, sanding, repeat. I know, I know, I'll have to take some pictures or it's not true. I'm still waiting on someone to get back with me on my rust issue repairs. Meanwhile, I am moving forward on the body issues that I can tackle on my own. I got my wife to go by the collision supply house today and pick me up some epoxy primer and some medium build primer. Since this is kinda my first attempt at body/paint work, I will be learning as I go. My idea is to sand and epoxy prime, and repeat this process until I get a good coat of epoxy primer on everything. Then use the medium build primer and sand and repeat until ready for paint. I probably won't paint until next summer, because this is all being done outside and possibly under a tarp. Picture will follow as I progress. If anyone has any comments or suggestions I will take all the encouragement and/or advise that I can get.

Today I took the weedwacker & got all the brush around the truck cut down. I had one rim with a really rusted bead, so i ground it down & loaded it with bead sealer before mounting the tire. Well, it went flat again! Going out now with some soap & water to see if theres another leak.

It's our pleasure.

You guys are making me envious! I wish I could do some work on my truck. I drive a govt '06 Ford Ranger that currently needs new rotors and pads in the front, but I am waiting on the parts.

I just wish I had my truck with me here.

Well, the humidity is a bit higher today than it has been lately. It's so high, it's falling of the sky....

As for what I did to my truck today, I washed part the seat, by not bothering to roll up the window as I watched the rain shower slowly work it's way up the street towards my house. I was afraid that rolling up the window would cause the rain to turn around and go back where it came from.......
Last night's weather forecast only called for a 20% chance of showers, which really meant an 80% chance of temps in the 100's and heat indexes in the 110's......
I guess I'm a 20% er.......

Didn't last long. Temp dropped from 103 to the upper 80's when the rain hit. The clouds stuck around, so the residual heat made the water evaporate rather quickly. It then became muggy as all get out, especially since the wind went with the rain. Still cloudy, and *only* 90, but at least there's a chance of more rain....

I went to work on dad's truck. Discovered the timing was just a tad slow. About 20*.......

Sorry, but get your lyrics right - the wind goes right behind the rain.

20!! Might tend to heat things up - like you are seeing.

Yeah, it heated things up all right. Just strange that it only heated up one of the pipes.......

Haven't driven it yet, but just based on the way it responds to the application of the loud pedal sitting in the driveway, I'm betting it'll run MUCH better. Time to leave the engine alone for a while, and get busy on the rear brakes and axle seals......
I'm betting it'll run way better than it will stop......

As for the lyrics thing, I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, even with a lid on it....... If I was to start singing, the most requested song would be to stop singing......
Followed by asking me to sing tenor. Ten or twelve miles away......

I started sanding on my truck again last night after work. It lasted for about an hour or so, till a rain-shower came and washed away the sanding dust for me. After that it was too wet to continue sanding, so everything got put away till the next time.

Took the block, heads (3), and rods to the machine shop yesterday. Should get them back in a couple of weeks along with the kit of gaskets, rings, pistons, and bearings. Erector set.
