What have you done to your truck today?

Got up way before sunrise, washed the car and pickup, cleaned the insides then hauled off trash, was done before 8:30 am. Now in the house with AC going, another hot hot day, we have had 26 days over 100 degrees & many at 109, all that and zero rain. Sick of being trapped in the house by hot weather.

Yep, me too. In fact, had the A/C man come and inspect the systems. I thought they needed charged. Turns out they are in good shape, although he cleaned the condensers, but may be marginal for the heat we are having.

I cleaned and re-oiled the K&N filter for the small truck a couple days ago, and finally got around to installing it. The old filter wasn't as clean as I had thought, and the recharge kit for the K&N was cheaper than a stock replacement.
As noted by Gary and Okie, it's been quite hot here, so I haven't done much to any of the trucks.
I did go load up the extra wheels for one of my RX7's, so I can get the winter tires mounted on them. Winter tires are the next best thing to real rally tires, and I have a rallycross event coming up in less than 2 weeks. Scored a set of winter tires for $100. Best of all, they will even fit the small truck for winter use...... Play in the dirt during the summer, and plow thru the snow in the winter, dual purpose tires!

Let's see...
1. Reattached gear selector to steering column. Shifting is noticeably improved.
2. Installed new lens on dome light. Trivial, I know, but that bare bulb up there annoyed the bejeezus out of me for some reason.
3. Replaced my not-very-old NAPA voltage regulator with a proper Motorcraft one. The NAPA one never worked right (the truck would charge, but the CHARGE light would stay on until RPMs got high enough), but the Motorcraft one works perfectly. I'm a believer now.
Next up: complete vacuum line replacement.
