Did quite a few things to the truck today. Drove it about 20 miles running errands, finally got some convoluted tubing to clean up my electric fan wiring. Got the tool box drawer liner material between the spare and the gas tank tonight. Put a padlock on the spare tire (round padlock, put duct tape over the key hole and faced the key hole towards the rear). I'll have to take the lock off every few months to keep it working.
I spent this afternoon grinding the welded on bumper brackets off. Had to borrow the neighbor's air compressor, as its 8x the size of mine. Still have some clean up to do before I try out the 90's bumper.
Not without a lot of trimming. I do not recommend this for those scared of cutting metal. All metal removed was from the top of the bumper. This bumper came off of a Bronco, and the three holes do not line up. I can get two out of three in. At a later time I will relieve the third hole, and when I take it in for body work, I'll add on a bumper repair or bracket fab. I want to weld and shave the two bolts on the face to smooth that out. It will be a VERY custom job. I'm also going to draw back the front bumper and do the bolt smoothing on it too. "Foose-ify" it.
I've had a good vacation. Today I got my new fan shroud installed. I also installed an air horn to replace the factory one. The pad in the steering wheel went MIA.
