302 head problem

302 head problem
ok , I replaced my 77 302 with a 79 302 ,
I ordered it as a long block so I could pull all my stuff off my block and put it on the new long block but when I started it up I noticed I have exhaust leaks In front just above and in front of the #1 plug , and in the rear just behind the # 8 plug, it appears to be holes maybe where some kind of pollution pipes might go? I do no have them on my old heads.
anybody have any ideas?
