Transmission noise

I am considering buying an 87 bronco II but the trannuy has a noise in it when it runs. It's the mitsibishi 5spd. I have been told that it might be the synchronizers. Has anybody had this problem??

yes i have had that problem, noise in every gear cept 4th, look at a rebuild on the tranny.

I have a similar probles, but i think it could be the clutch or the gky driveshaft...what kind of noise?

well, i had a kind of grinding noise, turns out the bearings, and syncros were bad. as well as the input shaft due to the pilot bearing being shot. dont know if the shaft took out the bearing or the bearing took the shaft out.

Thanks guuys. i bought the bronc and am going to have to tear into it and see what the problem is. Taking a chance because it has a rebuilt engine and the body work and paint has been done.

how long ago was the rebuild, whats the body look like???
