Relay clicking

Hi all I am having a bit of an electrical problem actually it is not really affecting anything that I can tell but I have a relay under the hood that clicks every second when I pull the relay nothing seems to change and everything seems to still be working I switched the one that was clicking with the one next to it and when put in it started clicking as well my manual doesn't say what the relay is for it is in a separate box next to the main under hood fuse box it has about 8 relays in it I have searched the net and this forum and can't seem to find any info on what these relays are for my Expy is a 98 EB with the tow package 5.4l.

any info would be greatly appreciated

I believe these are for the rear wiper.

Thanks so much that was it my wife didn't tell me the back wiper was not working she must of turned it on the wiper didn't work and forgot to turn the switch off I turned it off and the clicking went away guess I will get a new wiper motor.

Still would like to know what the other relays are for in that box.

Well, on my 99 it shows that two of them aren't used, and the other two being for the rear wiper, one the wiper up relay, and the other the wiper down relay.

Oh, one more thing, something you might try to get your wiper working again is, with the switch in the on (hi) position, go back to the wiper and grab ahold of it and giggle it up and down repeatedly for 15 to 20 seconds. Sometimes this will get it working again.

Well, sorry that didn't work for you. Mine works intermittently and when it quits, that gets it working again. It was worth a shot.
