Bought my truck about a month ago. I have only been using the front fuel tank. I forgot to ask the previous owner if the rear tank was used. I don't want to fill the rear and find out the tank is full of crap.
Should I just put a small amount of fuel in, flip the switch and see what happens?
Guess I'll have to prepare to change the fuel filter after.
none of the local part stores around me even carry the fuel filter
that my 7.3 has? they look in there books and the one they have
for it doesnt work with it. maybe i should try a bigger name store.
any recommended ones or just get a stock one?
I would just put say 3 gallons in that back tank and flip the old switch... if it works then fill the tank and put 1/3 bottle of seafoam in it, that will clean out the tank and injection system.
