Have a stock 2000 Supercab 4x4 with 86600 miles. Just replaced the right front hub because I was getting a squeaking noise from that side. The old bearings were bad. Still had the squeaking noise after I installed the new hub. Someone suggested putting it in 4wheel drive. Did that, and the noise got worse, and the truck acted like it didn't want to go or turn. Put it back in 2wheel drive, and the squeaking noise is gone now, but it still struggles in 4wheel drive. Anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this?
I was on dry street when I tried 4wheel drive the first time. I took the truck through some soft sand/grass in 4wheel drive and it was fine. No noise in 4 or 2wheel drive now. Just jumped the gun on posting earlier.
