I've got a 2001 F-350 7.3 diesel . It acks like an injector is not firing, but i had them all checked and they test good . I changed the fuel pump on the rail and discembled all of the filter housing and fuel lines. Whem the truck is cold it runs good when it heats up it go's to missing again. Any ideas?
Welcome to FTE. There is a 7.3 diesel specific section located further down the forum for motor specific questions like this.
Usually worn injectors have more problems when the engine is cold, not hot. Does the CEL (check engine light) come on? How rough does it run? How many miles since the last oil change? Is the engine oil full? What brand and weight of oil are you running? (injectors fire off of engine oil so it's kind of important).
Does it start slower when hot than it does when cold?
Hello Shanet. Welcome to the forum. It's the best!
I can't help you, but somebody probably will step up. You might try going to the 7.3 Engine forum. It's more specialized for engine problems. Keep huntin' and you'll find the answer. Good luck!
