Hey do you guys remember the frame mounted casters? Ya know the piece of steel that you bolt straight to the frame and has a wheel/caster at the bottom when the front clip is off, or the spindles don't have rotors attached.
What is that called? All I can find are wheel dollies.
I need to move my old 74 around in the garage & it has no suspension, just up on stands.
Check out body shops, they usually have those around while working on vehicles. Or if you have a welder, you can make up some from jack stands and heavyduty casters. I rember watching on Spike TV they made up a set to move a truck around.
As for the name, I called them wheeled jack stands..... not sure the PC name is.
Thanks guys, I think I found what I am needing. Nolan you pointed me in the right direction as far as terminology. They are called frame dolly's or skates. (Least that's what I found) And as always.... it will cost a pretty penny for what I wanted to spend.
