Pin pointing surge problem
I posted about my truck surging at 1700 rpm, got advice to disconnect the green vacuum line to the egr, and road test, the surging seem to stop, were do I go from here? some one suggested a restricter plate on the egr, to go from a 3/4 hole to a 1/8" hole then the egr would still work and not get a check engine light, I was told by ford this problem is common on some trucks and that the computor is calibrated wrong from the factory and I would need a new computer, runs fine other than that , If a resticter plate solves this problem is there any harm doing this?
