Very cool Dan, very cool to see despite mine or anybody's political views. We were invited(tickets from Mom) years back at the Boeing plant in Delaware co, Pa. to hear G. Dubya Bush's speech, it was impressive to see all the security there. Snipers on the roofs as well with a no fly zone 50 miles around. Pretty much shut down Phil. Int Airport for the time.

Nice video Dan. You're right, that will more than likely never happen again in your lifetime. I have a question though. Why didn't you stand across the street so the video had your shop in the background?

That's what I was thinking too. And if they came in from the whole state, that's a lot of hotel rooms. I'm also thinking that right after the President leaves town would be a very bad time to rob a bank.

Wow that must have been exciting!

I would definitely say that trumps my Olympic torch experience.

Do you remember when our Commander in Chief was addressed as "Mr. President"?
I didn't vote for him, but he holds the highest office in the land and that alone deserves respect.

Basically because my sign needs a paint job so bad you can barely read it anymore and I am embarrassed to show it.

About the same when he went to Naples,Fl.they pretty much shut down the Ft Myers airport the about 30 miles of I-75 for his convey as well as his route through town to where he was going.
Some of his visits were just politcal fund raisers

The traffic shut-down gets so bad here in the Los Angeles area when the President comes to town that there have been serious police and government meetings about how to reduce tying up (to a stop) all of West Los Angeles for six hours or more.

Literally MILLIONS of people are severely inconvenienced by one person's political maneuverings, and the common man is now asking for something to make it stop here.

I had the opportunity to see clinton when he shut down the Grand Canyon to sign some tree hugger bill on the rim of the canyon. but I opted to go to work late.
the 747 blew all the lights off the runway when he left, and the dust cloud blotted out Tusyan that would have been cool to see. lots of black hawks flying lots of black cars!

Spent about 20 years working at Buckley Air Base here and most of the time the sitting president would land here and the head into Denver. Saw them all during that time. Problem was they would shut down the base for about 45 minutes during the transition so we had nothing else to do but wave as they went by. Cool video! Thanks!..

This just in, it happens here again today:
President’s visit means street closures Friday | Zev Yaroslavsky

Here's the aftermath of last time: "just phenomenally inconsiderate."
