If you are thinking about getting custom tunes don't bother with the IDM Mod. JMHO
I have custom tunes already, along with hybrid injectors, turbo, ect
The IDM Mod will slightly advance the timing for SOI, Start of Injection. You should check with whoever did your tunes to see if the IDM Mod will effect them. The tuner usually wants to know what type of IDM you have, 110, 120 or in the case of a modded IDM 140 volt, before building the tunes.
Their tunes probably have the SOI timing set to optimim anyway so you most likely don't need the IDM modded.
There is a threshold in the SOI timing you don't want to cross and the mod could possibly do that.
I have PMS big time but even I will say that not every mod is worthwhile doing and this in my opinion is one of them. A lot of work for very little benefit and bad things can happen.
