Anyone have the 443631 or 32 TC in there trucks? Does it do anything that they claim it will do? I just wanna know if I have a good reason to spend 2x more then a normal one. I should know tommorrow if I am gonna be swapping out my current c-6. Your thoughts please....
I don't have onbe yet, but when ever I have to pull the transmission I will be getting one. I called TCI a while back and spoke to the owner and he explained to me how they make the C6 work better behind the 6.9. If you have questions call and he will answer them for you. I understand that he might be biased since he is selling them, but he was a very down to earth guy.
He did not put a hard sell on me either. I called to see if he would rebuild the C6 in my truck and after telling him what my symptoms were he told me that I didn't need a rebuild yet and what I needed to do to clear up the issue I was having.
I just ordered it. Can't complain, the c-6 is pretty much the cheapest converter they sell. I also placed a down payment on a tranny rebuild, the guy had a core and everything. Should be about 3-4 weeks before I know if it was worth 300 bucks or not.
Got it installed, have several bugs to work out, broke my VRV valve by resting my body weight on it and I think the band is out of adjustment as after it gets warm reverse is really really weak and it wont shift into 3rd (but that part could be the VRV) I have driven my truck about 12 miles at up to 65 MPH and have not exceeded 2200 RPM's with 3.50's and 285/75/16's I noticed a decrease of at least 200rpms from 55 and up. I am really impressed with the "lock up" of this converter. I will post more, I got my tach to work before this just so I could actually tell if the TC worked.

That is not the band my friend!!You have a shot boost valve time to replace it before you burn the clutches up. The OE is aluminum and junk go with a nice billet steel unit and replace all the valve body springs I would bet the double coil spring in the boost valve is also broken. I have built lots of these over the years and what you describe is text book common. 4L60E 700R4 4L80E 4R100 E4OD 2004R C6 TH350 TH400 Transmission Parts: SUPERIOR C6 SHIFT CORRECTION PACKAGE W/ BOOST VALVE Also if you need or can't find a VRV local PM me.
