Don't laugh, I have a 1998 e350 7.3 TD and am flushing the cooling system, just where IS the thermostat located?

I laugh at you! HAHAHAHA!!!
All kidding aside, the thermostat is in the top of the water pump. Follow the big hose going to the top of the pump, you'll find it Welcome to the forums BTW!

Beware of the vile thermostat housing. It is very soft and easily bent, makes getting a good seal difficult.

should just be an oring iirc to seal the housing. I think I just put a little silicone on to hold the oring in place.
