Im a Newb...
Yeah...
Been looking for a Ford Truck Forum for a while now... here i am!
Driven - 1983 Ford F350 Dually 4x4 BBF (passed everything but a gas stations) - Purchased it for 700$ non running, pulled the motor, over hauled and bored 30over. Stock internals, Wieand Intake (highrise), Holley Double Pumper 750 cfm, Original Rear End and gears.
Now Own - 1987 Ford F150 2x4 I6 300 - Pulls my landscaping trailer 6days a week. Bought it for 600$ off a buddy. Drove it for two months, pulled 31teeth off the cam gear, repaired over a day(biggest pain in the butt), replaced coil, ignition switch, all pulleys and tensioner. new Rear Main, Front Main. All synthetic oils since he purchased (i keep it that way). Has a granny low 4speed Transmission. Pulls 67mph at 2300RPMs on the highway. Has a Bullet Tow Kit, full vinyl lettering, strobes, emergency light on the dash (till i can get a roof bar). Want to do a 40-20-40 seat in it. Laptop and printer Rack... Its a working project.
ME - 26, live in FL right near the beach. Own a landscaping business going on two years now. One kid and another on the way, awesome Fiance (my fault we havent tied the knot yet). Ford Lover, searching for a early 80s or mid 90s F350 SuperCab. Would love a Diesel but, would settle for a Big Block. Current Pull truck is the nicest truck i have owned in a long time (i blew a Chevy up after 7months of pulling and 1300 in repairs, was a waste!). I get comments from landscapers because my truck is VERY Unique at gas stations against all the newer vehicles and trailers. My truck and trailer make a perfect pair (2004 Pace 16ft Enclosed, Strobes in lights, full vinyl.) I get Comments from new customers because my truck is so old school, good for business.
Done rambling now.
