Checking in from NJ... with my first Ford experience
Hey everyone. My name is Noah, and I am relatively new to Fords, as I am your typical Chevy guy (let me get my flame suit on lol). But I will say I love any American-made vehicle. I'll try to keep a long story short, but I inherited a very sentimental piece of machinery from my family... it was originally my great uncle's truck who recently passed away; a 1990 F350 Dually w/a 7.3L IDI diesel. I adored this truck since the first day I could remember it. My uncle was the original owner, and I have all the original documents as well as everything he did to the truck like maintenance, parts replacement, etc etc. To keep it simple, this truck was his pride and joy. Anyway, he suffered a major stroke in 1999 and was unable to drive this truck, all the way up until the day he passed away. So this truck has sat for 10 years straight in Florida heat before being driven up here to NJ, where it continued to sit until I received the truck. Originally, his daughter inherited the truck, and it wasnt until 2 weeks ago that she decided to part ways with it, and pass it on to me since I am very meticulous with my vehicles. I promised her that I will do everything I can to bring the truck (that has been oh-so-recognizable amongst my rather large family) back into it's original condition. For a truck that has been sitting for so long, the interior is almost perfect... the exterior not so much So I will have many questions, as well as much reading to do, since this is, like I've said, my very first Ford experience. Cheers everyone
