F-150 What ??

F-150 What ??

OK..My F-150 is a 02,5.4, @ 128000 miles...yea I need the spark plug change ..anyway I start the engine & all the insturnment needles go to the max , all the way over..What causes this ??? thinking battery or electral issue ..truck idles fine ..runs good

Power issue about to get worse as cold weather comes on.
First clean the battery posts and cable ends to see if that is the issue.
If not, the battery may be coming to end of it's useful life and needs to be replaced.
Another possibility is the battery is not being charged enough by the alternator.
Be awhere of any one of these three posibilities or in any combination.

Battery is getting weak is the most common. Voltage drops too low when cranking and the cluster then resets itself after the alternator kicks in.

I got a new battery ..every thing is back to normal ..Thanks to all "Im a welder not a machanic
