2002 Explorer IRs Track width

HI can anyone tell me what the 2002 Explorer track width might be? I cant seem to find that anywhere.

Also want to confirm its 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern and has an aluminum 8.8 or 9.75 center section.

Looking to swap this into my 1950 ford F1.

thanks
b

Bolt pattern is 5-4.5 and the rears will be 8.8's. Track Width (front/rear) 60.9 / 61.2 & axle ratio codes are
41 — 3.27 ratio, non-limited slip.
43 — 4.30 ratio, non-limited slip.
45 — 3.55 ratio, non-limited slip.
D4 — 3.73 ratio, limited slip.
44 — 3.73 ratio, non-limited slip with interactive vehicle dynamics (IVD).

Overall width was 72.1 inches, so the track should be approx 60-62 inches---???

Why not use a mustang or thunderbird etc rear end? They come out as an entire unit, sub frame and all, where the exploders are not.

I have the lincoln mark8 irs. Someone mentioned the explorer because its already the bolt pattern I wanted and most likley had the center section specs I need.
I am having the lincoln hubs machined. I also narrowed the entire lincoln subframe 4 " so that I can get the track width I need.
So the explorer is not on a subframe? Well now I dont feel so bad...

Yup. I saw that too! I want a cobra irs but very expensive. Those guys are spoiled. Get to do anything and everything without concern for money. Im jealous. Its funny how they will purposly go the low buck route on some projects, but they still have all the tools and resources to do it up.
