E.Bauer Third seat, leather, beige.
Has anyone had experience with adding the rear third seat to an Expedition that doesnt have one from the factory? We are trying to sell one which came from a stolen/recovered E.B. Expedition. It is beige leather and in excellant condition. But so far we have had no luck finding an owner who needs to replace their seat, just many owners looking to "add" this to their Expedition that did not come from the factory with a rear seat.Any input or suggestions?

A Ford rep (a salesman, but a knowledgeable one) told me that you cannot add a 3rd seat if the truck was not configured for the 3rd seat at the factory, since they don't install the seat and seat belt mounts on those models. These must meet NTSB and other standards. He did mention that there may be some aftermarket installers that could do this, like van conversion or RV shops...

If you did not get third seat ford can not install one because of differnt floor design. No seat no pockets in floor to mount seat. It would require you to replace rear cargo floor with one from a third seat model. sorry

I'd be interested in the 3rd seat if it was still available. My Expedition is set up for the factory seat, so it will drop right in.
If anyone has a seat, I'd could use a '99 tan leather, but would consider others.

I have a '97 tan fabric bench seat available for $200 plus shipping cost. The seat is in EXCELLENT condition, like NEW. I can take a digital picture and send it to you if you are interested.

A shop called Gibbles in Manheim, PA, installs 3rd seat in Expeditions...looks stock, only thicker padding. They also install required shoulder, lap belts, etc. I paid $600.00 to the dealer I purchased my used Expy from.
