open chamber heads
Do 400 heads flow as well as the 2v 351C heads? The exhaust port on 2v Cleveland is better than the 4V's. I was wondering if it was true with the 2V 400 as well.
Also, would the quench heads still be better when using a pop up piston, or would the open chambers be better?

If you are planning on using these on a 400-Good luck finding pop up pistons and even if you had them made, you're asking for too much compression with 400 pistons. If you are talking about these on a 351C or a 400 with 351 pistons, then you will have to get pop ups for these heads wich you can find. I would go with the closed chamber heads with flat top pistons utilizing the quench affect because you may be able to get more compression on pump gas. But with pop ups, I'd be more inclined to use open chambers. good luck

That's what I was thinking. I was considering using the 351C pop up pistons in the 400. To keep from buying a set of quench heads, I would buy the pop up pistons so I could use the open chambers I already have. I think I'll be ok as long as I keep compression down at least around 10:1 with a hot ignition system. Also, this will be fuel injected so the computer should help a lot.
