Cleveland Heads

I got a great price on some Cleveland heads. I want to know if I can stick these on my 351M. Or should I wait until I can get a Cleveland block? What else would I have to change? The heads are the 2v variety. I only paid $100 for them completely rebuilt. thanks.

Spacer plates right?-thought the 351M had the taller deck height as the 400

He was only speaking about the gaskets. Spacers are required only if you try to install a Cleveland intake manifold on a 351M or 400.

Cleveland 2V or 4V heads will bolt up to the 351M/400 with absolutely no modifications but no one makes an intake that will match up the larger intake ports on a 4V head with an M manifold. Also there are fewer choices for intakes for the M than the Cleveland so Weiand and Price made the spacers to "fill the gap". (Pun intended)

I found a block too for $150, but I want the heads because they are pretty good and I don't think windsors will match. I have to have the block sonic tested and bored I didnt think there was really any difference between clevelands and M's. However the guy that sold it to me said they were better and I could get my $150 back to anybody who was looking for one. He didn't make a warranty on it but it looked pretty good and it is a short block so I could easily make my money back. A friend told me that he can basically interchange anything between the three blocks W,C,&M I' ve seen him do it but I don't really trust it. This wasn't the guy that sold me the block. I'm just gonna play with it but I do know that the Clevelands made a lot more power than the 351M.
