something to mull over
something to mull over
Hey all i never post in here but thought i'd see what you guys would suggest. I have a 1971 GMC 3/4 ton pickup that has been made into an agriculture spray truck. Had 16" tires on it now. I want to put a bigger wheel and tire on it to improve the ride. I want to put the biggest wheels i can find and put on it with narrow tires, for row crop. Let me know if you have any ideas where to find some big steel wheels. Thanks in advance
are you talking about running a tall skinny ag tire on the truck? if so you could probably get a machine shop to recenter some old ag rims for 8 lug centers. anything close to an ag size rim from a truck(20''+) is going to be pretty spendy and probably not worth it to you. a lot of ag tires can be had in a 16.1'' rim size that fits on truck 16's, maybe go that route.
