Went away for 3 months and when I came back our 2008 Escape would not start. When I tried, all lights worked but the starter just made a clicking sound. Charged the battery and load tested it and battery is OK.
My thought is the alarm system with it's flashing light on the dash drains the battery. Is there a way to disable the alarm system when we go away for months at a time other than disconnecting the battery? Any help would be great. Thanks.
