I pulled the pipe and found a nice coat of oil in it, should I be concerned?
What can cause this? Truck (05 psd auto) has only 52k miles and I don't work it hard.
Also this engine (unmolested) seems to run hotter than My first gen cummins, lots of stuff on the front. I'm concerned all this heat could be too much for the tranny that has worked flawless for now but it is an auto, should I add a fan with a thermostat controlled switch?
Thank You.
Btw on a previous thread I asked about the engine not starting and I checked the plug You guys mentioned there was no oil in the electric part of the sensor, it didn't do it since then so I didn't have to fix anything but wth was that?
So you can have a good idea of where the oil comes from go to the pictures on this page. The crank case vents directly into your turbo. A lot of us have done a reroute of the vent through a filter.
