remote unlock - headlights
This is a minor thing but I really don't like lighting up the world with my headlights whenever I unlock my door with the key remote. I've got a 07 SuperCab XLT and (besides the wheels and tires) this is my only complaint.
Is there a way to disable that headlight feature, or even disable all the lights coming on?
Thanks in advance for advice.

Not to rag on ya', but I'm trying to figure out how people expect to operate and maintain their vehicles (and trucks ain't cheap in either category) without an owner's manual and maintenance schedule?
I really am just looking for insight - nothing more intended.

I have often wondered to what people do with the owners manual so that it doesn't wind up or stay with with the vehicle on trade in.
When I purchased my "06" Five Hundred from a local Ford dealer, there was no owners manual in the glove compartment. The salesmans solution was for me to download the info off the internet or I could order one from Ford.
My response was that if I purchase this car, YOU will order me an owners manual at the dealers expense. I also made the dealer obtain and provide me with the factory code for the drivers door keypad. These items in my opinion are part of the car, just like all the keys and remote fobs, they should be provided at the time of purchase, whether new or used and should stay with the vehicle at trade in.

The whole missing owners manual thing always pissed me off. I really don't know where they go. The one for my wife's Explorer is missing. I don't know where it went. It was there when we bought it. Whenever I referenced it, it never left the vehicle; I always read/referenced it while sitting in the car.
I have no clue where she put it. I make sure she hears about it every time I have to look at the manual online.
