2003 F150 Transmission Fluid Flush
I plan on treating my truck to a tranny flush in the near future. It just turned 410,000 kms and I thought I would do it since it has not been done since 100,000. I need to know what fluid exactly I need. Mercon V?? Also how much do I need? I do it myself in the garage by disconnecting the lines to the cooler and pumping the fluid out into a pail by running the engine until it just stops pumping and shut it down. I know this isn't the proper way to have it done but I have had good success in the past doing it this way. The fluid is still nice and pink and not burnt at all so the tranny must still be in pretty good condition so I thought I would treat it. BTW the truck is a 03 F150 4x4 V6.
