HPOP screen

What years did hey put the screen in the HPOP res ? Just wonderin if it's something that should be checked out for anything being on it. Got a long weekend and was gona change the oil rear diff oil and transfer case oil. Just lookin for stuff to keep me Buisy. Also how much I'll does the transfer case hold?

The HPOP gasket with the screen is only on the 99.5-2003 trucks. It is a very course screen and the only time I have seen anything in it is when a LPOP is going out and put chunks in it. IMO, not worth cleaning unless you are doing something to the HPOP anyway.

You have to be very careful though to use the correct gasket because if you put a late model with the screen in a 96- Early 99 it will crack the front cover.

And the transfer case holds 'bout 2 quarts.

Well I think I will just leave the HPOP alone then. And 2 qts in the case alright thanks guys.
