I have a 1990 F350 single cab w/ 460 and 5spd manual transmission. Once you turn the lights on the park lights won't go off until you disconnect the battery cable. When you turn the switch off the park lights get a little more dim but won't go off, and all the other lights are off. Tried a new switch, and disconnecting the dimmer switch but neither helped.
Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks in advance for your help.

That's wild. What electrical modifications/repairs/accessories have been done on the truck? Remote keyless entry? Alarm? Are you the original owner? When did it start? Ever wrecked? Any dash mods/repairs (new steering column, etc.)?

actually my grandads truck, who is original owner, wrecked on front right fender several years ago, but no problems until a few months ago. I'm not sure, but it's possible that the problem started after the truck got rained in a little through the window. i'm not sure what could have gotten wet besides the light switch and dimmer.
